Mumbai Monsoon - 1

The rainy season began in Mumbai on June 1. It rained continuously for 5/6 days, right now there is kind of a lull from the pouring but it can begin any time. (Take a look at the pics). Sometimes the sky seems like ready to burst open but doesn't.
I took this pic two days back. The sun looked like a pearl in the sky!!
Infact I showed my pal the moon which was hiding behind the clouds only to realize that it was actually the Sun, shining like a white pearl!
Going to the sea during rainy season is great fun. Sometimes when it is raining and it is high tide the waves come over the parapet and douse you in the tangy sea water. That can be quite an experience.
The heavy clouds in the sky give me a very awing feel, making me feel small next to the roaring water and the overcast sky.
The rainy season is also an opportunity to see beautiful sunsets where the clouds become orange, purple, mauve or some other delightful colour
