For the want of another name!!!

In our culture the Marathas ruled bombay and surrounding territory before the Mughal invasion. Now there was this great Maratha king called Shivaji. In respect he is referred to as Chatrapati Shivaji. Now the political parties are so keen on preserving the Maratha culture in Mumbai that they went on a wide spree of renaming!
The Victoria Terminus, which is an important railway hub got renamed to Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
The Interational airport was then named Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
The museum formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum was renamed to what else but Chatrapati Shivaji Museum!!
It's not that I am really against preserving Indian culture but this reason is just being exploited by political parties and they seem to have take up Shivaji as some sort of idol or something which is totally bringing down the beauty of our culture.
More than that instead of preserving Indian culture they want to encourage Marathi culture which is so weird because the major population of Mumbai is Gujarati (not Marathi)!!
